Mahalaxmi Mandir - Kelshi

Mahalaxmi mandir is located at the base of Uttamber hill just off the Kelshi village at its southern end. Mahalaxmi is instated with an idol which is believed to be 'swayambhu'. The temple was built in 1808 during the Peshwa regime. There are shrines dedicated to Ganapati & Shiva within the temple premises.

Mahalaxmi Temple was built during the Peshwa regime. It also houses the idols of Lord Ganpati and Lord Shiva. The temple lies beneath two huge domes. The famous Yakub Baba dargah is located at a distance of about one kilometer from the Mahalaxmi temple. Yakub baba's dargah is a great example of Hindu Muslim unity. A visit to Mahalaxmi mandir is considered incomplete without a visit to the dargah.
