Diveagar Beach

Diveagar is located at the opposite end of the tripple beaches of Harihareshwar Shrivardhan and Diveagar. Diveagar apart from the beach was famous for the 'Suvarna Ganpati' temple with the mask of Ganpati made of gold which unfortunately was stolen from the temple in 2012.

Diveagar is located at the northern end of Raigad beaches and is about 35 kms from Harihareshwar. Diveagar beach is not a flat beach unlike the other beaches in this region and owing to it Diveagar is quite a wavy beach making playing in the surf quite fun in Diveagar. Diveagar is flanked by Aaravi to its south and it is a small cove which has a thicker layer of white sand covering the black sand beach lying underneath.

Diveagar is on one end of the three Raigad beaches - Diveagar Shrivardhan and Harihareshwar. Dighi is a 15 mins drive from Diveagar from where you can visit the famous Murud Janjira.

Diveagar offer a much more expansive beach than Harihareshwar and if you wish to frolic around in the water Diveagar is the best bet around Harihareshwar. Diveagar is about an hour away from Harihareshwar and is best visited on a return trip from Murud Janjira and make a full day trip of it from Harihareshwar.

Although Diveagar has restaurants offering different cuisines the home made food served in the lunch homes dotting the main street in Diveagar is your best option to enjoy veg and non veg delicacies prepared in authentic kokani culinary style.
